PPL is an European license, dedicated for leisure purpose only. It allows you to fly under visual flight rules. You can even bring passengers with you !Candidates will learn how to fly an airplane, from takeoff to landing, across the country and across borders. This module includes ground courses (+/- 100 hours), given 3 evenings per week and flight training. The flight training program itself is divided into three phases.
1. Core phase (general flying). Candidates will learn the basic flight manoeuvres of an aeroplane (climbs, descents, turns, stalls, acceleration, deceleration,…)
2. Circuits (Touch & go’s). During this phase, candidates will learn how to takeoff and how to land an aeroplane (in many different conditions). They will also learn basic radio-communication procedures. The first solo flights are performed during this phase
3. Cross-country (navigations). This phase will teach candidates how to prepare and fly from point A to point B with ground visual references. First with an instructor and then solo.
« Distance learning » course is also available in French.
✈ 45 hours of flights
✈ 129 hours of ground courses
The ATPL ground courses are the intensive 8 month theoritical courses to become a professional pilot. 14 subjects will be covered during this period. We provide you with the culture and knowledge required in all the areas that an airline pilot has to deal with.
✈ Brush-up courses in maths & physics
✈ 768 hours of ATPL ground courses
✈ Official written exams at the BCAA
✈ 6 hours of Long Briefing
✈ 2 hours of simulator
✈ Observation flights
Once candidates get their PPL license, they are allowed to start the Night Training course. The aim of this module is to teach them how to fly under visual references, by night. This module is used as an introduction to the Instrument Rating course that will follow. Candidates will start to use the airplane instruments as reference.
✈ 5 hours of night flights
✈ 7 hours of ground courses
Candidates will now fly on an airplane which is heavier, faster, more complex and redundant, requiring much more anticipation and situational awareness. Today, all the commercial flights performed in Europe are done in multi engine aeroplanes. It is also our goal to teach candidates all the emergency procedures used in commercial aircraft.
✈ 14 hours of ground courses
✈ 6 hours of flight on the DA42
✈ 5 hours of theoretical classes
✈ 10 hours of A320 simulator ( 5 hours Pilot Flying + 5 hours Pilot non-flying).
The program takes place in our school at Charleroi Airport.
The price for a single pilot is 1650 € TVAC and 1100 € TVAC for each pilot in a group of two.
The Instrument Rating training is probably the most challenging module of the complete Modular Airline Pilot program. Indeed, from that point, candidates will have to learn how to fly from takeoff to landing with sole reference to the instruments mounted in the cockpit! The IR module is especially focused on the use of very specific departure – en route – arrival and approach procedures, all of this in poor weather conditions. The Instrument Rating module is divided in two phases:
✈ 40 hours simulator Training
✈ 15 hours Flight Training on DA42
The interview preparation covers, amongst other things, the following topics:
✈ Preparation and writing of a resume and a cover letter
✈ License issues
✈ What you should know and what you should master
✈ Interview techniques
✈ Attitude during an interview
✈ Importance of Body Language
✈ Etc.
The goal of the CPL module is to provide candidates with the techniques, methods, philosophy and procedures used by professional pilots. By increasing the quality and precision of flight manoeuvres, candidates will learn how to act and react against specific situations and requests.
✈ 15 hours of flight on the DA42
✈ Preparation and writing of a resume and a cover letter
✈ License issues
✈ What you should know and what you should master
✈ Interview techniques
✈ Attitude during an interview
✈ Importance of Body Language
✈ Etc.
The simulator preparation is done on an advanced fixed base 737NG simulator and covers all the aspects of a typical simulator assessment.
This course will be reserved to candidates having at least started the MCC course and will be organized on a regular basis!
The first course will be given on the 3rd of April 2015 Charleroi!
To register, fill in the registration form and send it back to us.
The course is limited to 12 participants.
✈ 25 hours ground course
✈ 20 hours A320 simulator
✈ Single engine piston generic simulator (Piper PA28)
✈ Multi engine piston generic simulator (Beechcraft Bonanza)
✈ Diamond DA42 simulator (IFR and procedure training)
✈ Airbus A320 simulator (MCC, JOC, interview preparation, After Care)
